400,000 HOURS ON THE CLOCK, WE’VE, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!
WE LOGGED THOUSANDS OF HOURS PERFORMING MOSQUITO (FOGGING) SERVICES FOR HOMES, BUSINESSES, PARKS, SHOPPING CENTERS, COMMON AREAS, and BALLFIELDS
(ANNOYING AND DESTROYING)
Here in the Valley, we see brutal hot summer temperatures. When the Monsoon storms arrive, we see a spike in wind, dew point, humidity, and Mosquitoes. The insect is prevalent from May to early November. We provide all of the necessary needs for Mosquitoes such as standing or stagnant water, storage around yards that collect water, sometimes green swimming pools due to lack of proper filtration or chemical balance, and improperly sealed doors and windows which allow mosquito entry into our homes.
Mosquitoes mostly are nighttime biters just when we swim in our pools or relax on the patio. We become their blood host and are left with irritating skin itching and annoyance. The Mosquitoes can carry disease most commonly, West Nile Virus but there are others, which can make us extremely sick or in some cases cause death. There are products that we can apply to our skin to help repel the mosquitoes as well as light candles or even hang bug zappers. But even with preparation we still sometimes receive the bite.
THE MOSQUITOES (They are Coming to a Neighborhood Near You!!)
Here in the Valley, there are a few mosquitoes that can transmit diseases. The primary mosquitoes species in Arizona are: Western encephalitis mosquito, Culex, Yellow Fever Mosquito, Aedes Aegypti. Western malaria mosquito, Anopheles Floodwater Mosquito,
HOW DO MOSQUITOES SPREAD DISEASE?
The female uses her needle-like penetrating bite to break the skin of the blood host, injects her saliva as a numbing agent and sucks your blood. That mosquito saliva is what makes you later scratch the bite area. Additionally, It can spread disease. Several kinds of mosquito live in Arizona. Some can be dangerous, some are merely annoying.
MOSQUITO ACTIVITY
Mosquitoes may be present during the day or night, depending on the species. However, they often avoid the Hot daytime temperatures. They will be active in the warmer months while we are outside attempting to enjoy our patio and pools. Then lay low during the winter. The Valley depending on Monsoon Storm activity and measurable rain came to become a blood host heaven during significant moisture periods. Small areas with minimal standing or stagnant water is all that is needed for the Wigglers and tumblers to enjoy their maturation period before becoming annoying and sometimes dangerous adults.
